Children have the opportunity to explore a range of texts and scenes to find something that excites and challenges them. They learn to speak confidently and clearly, with a good understanding of the text and its meaning. They also discover ways to adapt their voice and body to become storytellers in their imagined world.

The children generally attend the course in pairs and are matched according to ability not necessarily by age. They work alone and in pairs on their chosen pieces. When ready, they can opt to take a LAMDA Exam in Acting or Public Speaking - which provides a huge sense of achievement and prepares them for many future experiences outside the drama room - school assembly, university interview, training conference.

Private LAMDA Classes

LAMDA training is great for developing performance skills, but it offers so much more for a child’s general development

We run private sessions for homeschooled children and after school to fit with your schedule. If you would like to find out about private one to one LAMDA classes please contact us here:

What Parents have been saying about the classes:

'My daughter has been taking LAMDA classes with Hannah for about a year now and it’s been so helpful in building her confidence to speak in public, and to learn to enjoy performing. She’s really loving working with Hannah and the other kids, finding pieces to work on and develop her own style…  So glad that they have the opportunity to do this at school.'

"Confidence boosting and as a matter of fact, the convenience of having the Lamda class in the school were the main reasons for enrolling Niranjan. However, over time he started to enjoy the classes and started taking more and more interest, especially when he is performing in front of his classmates. As a parent, there is no other joy as seeing your son growing in confidence and is enjoying the process. Taking inspiration from proud brother, Shakthi his sister has also joined Lamda this term."

'I wasn’t sure how my daughter would manage these classes as she has some social communication difficulties, however, she absolutely adores them!

They have been invaluable for her self confidence. Thank you so much.'
